Bernie Wrightson

Bernie Wrightson (1948-2017) was an American artist known for his detailed, atmospheric horror illustration. He co-created Swamp Thing with Len Wein at DC Comics in 1971, and went on to produce a celebrated series of pen-and-ink illustrations for Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, as well as work on Stephen King's Cycle of the Werewolf, Creepshow and The Stand (Wikipedia)
