Biggles

Biggles -- properly James Bigglesworth -- is a fictional pilot and adventurer created by W. E. Johns in 1932, who appeared in nearly 100 books over the following four decades. The character was brought to the screen in the 1986 British film "Biggles: Adventures in Time", in which a modern-day American businessman is mysteriously linked across time to the World War I flying ace (Wikipedia)
