Dredd

Dredd is a 2012 science-fiction action film directed by Pete Travis and written by Alex Garland, based on the Judge Dredd comic-strip character from 2000 AD. Karl Urban plays the title role -- never removing his helmet on screen -- as Judge Dredd and rookie psychic Judge Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) become trapped inside the 200-storey "Peach Trees" mega-block, hunted by drug lord Ma-Ma and her gang. A flop on theatrical release, the film built a sizeable cult following on home video and is widely regarded as the most faithful screen adaptation of the strip (Wikipedia)
