Ed Repka

Ed Repka (born 1958) is an American illustrator widely known as "the godfather of thrash-metal album-cover art". His vivid, comic-book-influenced paintings of skeletons, zombies and political caricature appear on hugely influential records by Megadeth (Peace Sells... but Who's Buying?, Rust in Peace), Death (Scream Bloody Gore, Leprosy), Atheist, Massacre, Vio-lence, Nuclear Assault and many others, helping to establish the visual vocabulary of late-1980s extreme metal (Wikipedia)
