Francisco Solano López

Francisco Solano López (1928--2011) was an Argentine comics artist, one of the giants of South American comics. With writer Héctor Germán Oesterheld he co-created El Eternauta (1957--1959), a landmark of post-war science-fiction comics, and over a long career drew Bull Rockett, Rolf, Slot-Barr and dozens of strips for British weekly papers, where he became a regular contributor to Fleetway titles such as Battle Picture Weekly and 2000 AD (Wikipedia)
