Garfield is an American comic strip created by Jim Davis, first syndicated on 19 June 1978. It chronicles the life of Garfield, a sardonic, lasagne-loving, Monday-hating orange tabby cat; his hapless owner Jon Arbuckle; and Jon's dim-witted but lovable beagle Odie.
