Gizmo

Gizmo is a fictional Mogwai and the principal "good" creature of the Gremlins film series. Big-eyed and brown-and-white furred, he was designed by Chris Walas for Joe Dante's Gremlins (1984) and -- following three rules (no bright light, no water and never feed him after midnight) -- contrasts sharply with the malevolent Stripe-led mutations that hatch when those rules are broken.
