Heavy Metal is a 1981 Canadian adult animated science-fiction/fantasy anthology film produced by Ivan Reitman, comprising several loosely linked stories drawn from the pages of the American magazine Heavy Metal (itself an English-language adaptation of the French comics anthology Métal Hurlant).
