Odie is a yellow-furred, brown-eared beagle from the Garfield comic strip by Jim Davis. Introduced on 8 August 1978, he is the loyal, slobbery, almost always silent companion to Jon Arbuckle and the long-suffering target of Garfield's pranks -- most famously being kicked off the kitchen table.
