Son Goku is the main protagonist of the Dragon Ball manga and anime franchise created by Akira Toriyama. Born as the Saiyan child Kakarot and raised on Earth by an old martial-arts master, he becomes the planet's most powerful defender, repeatedly fighting on behalf of his friends and family across decades of stories.
