X-Men

The X-Men are a fictional team of superheroes appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics, created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby and first appearing in The X-Men #1 (September 1963). They are a group of "mutants" -- humans born with superhuman abilities, often feared and hated by ordinary people -- gathered and trained by the telepathic Professor Charles Xavier.
