1. About C64GFX
C64GFX is a community-driven preservation and archival project dedicated to showcasing Commodore 64 pixel art, with a particular focus on the demoscene. The site provides a searchable database of graphics, artist profiles, competition results, and related metadata.
2. User Accounts
2.1 Registration
You may browse C64GFX without creating an account. However, certain features – such as liking images, voting in competitions, and posting comments – require you to register for an account.
2.2 Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account.
2.3 Account Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms and Conditions or engage in behaviour that is harmful to the community or the site.
3. Acceptable Use
When using C64GFX, you agree not to:
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site, other users' accounts, or any systems or networks connected to the site
- Post comments or content that is abusive, harassing, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable

4. Artwork & Intellectual Property
4.1 Commodore 64 Artwork
The Commodore 64 artwork displayed on C64GFX is sourced from publicly available community databases and archives of released demoscene productions. This artwork remains the intellectual property of its respective creators. C64GFX displays this content for the purposes of preservation, education, and celebration of the Commodore 64 art community.
4.2 Artist Rights
All Commodore 64 artwork displayed on C64GFX remains the intellectual property of its original creator. C64GFX does not claim ownership of any artwork. We display publicly released demoscene productions for the purposes of preservation, archival, and celebration of the art form – consistent with long-standing demoscene tradition and in line with other community archives such as CSDb.
4.3 Site Content
The site design, layout, code, and original content (excluding user-generated content and Commodore 64 artwork) are the property of C64Demo.com. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from this content without our permission.
4.4 Metadata
Metadata displayed on the site – including artist names, release titles, competition placings, and dates – is sourced from publicly available community databases. We make reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy but cannot guarantee that all metadata is complete or error-free. Users can suggest corrections via the site's feedback mechanisms.
5. User-Generated Content
5.1 Comments
You may post comments on the site via our third-party commenting system. By posting a comment, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display that comment on the site.
5.2 Submissions
If you submit corrections, suggestions, or other content to the site, you grant us the right to use, modify, and incorporate that content into the site at our discretion.
5.3 Moderation

C64GFX may contain artwork that is not suitable for all audiences. A content filter is available for registered users to control the visibility of mature content. By disabling this filter, you confirm that you are of legal age in your jurisdiction to view such content and that you accept responsibility for doing so.
7. Competitions & Voting
C64GFX may host or display graphic art competitions. The following rules apply to competition features:
- Voting is limited to registered users
- Each user may cast one vote per entry per competition
- Any attempt to manipulate voting results through multiple accounts, automated tools, or other means is prohibited and may result in account termination
- Competition results are final once published
8. Donations
C64GFX accepts voluntary donations to help cover operating costs. Donations are processed through a third-party platform and are non-refundable. Donating does not grant any special privileges, rights, or ownership stake in the site, though we are very grateful for all contributions.
9. Disclaimers
- C64GFX is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the site will be available at all times or free from errors
- We are not responsible for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site
- We are not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any third-party services linked to or integrated with the site
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, C64GFX and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the site.
