Don English

Don English (1900--1965) was an American studio photographer at Paramount Pictures whose Hollywood portraits of the 1930s and 1940s helped define the era's glamour aesthetic. He is best known as the principal stills photographer for Marlene Dietrich on Josef von Sternberg's films, where his moody, low-key lighting produced some of the most reproduced star portraits of the studio era (Wikipedia)
