Jim Morrison

James Douglas Morrison (1943--1971) was an American singer, songwriter and poet, lead vocalist of the Los Angeles rock band The Doors. Across the band's six studio albums released in his lifetime -- including The Doors (1967), Strange Days (1967) and L.A. Woman (1971) -- he produced enduring hits "Light My Fire", "Riders on the Storm", "People Are Strange" and "Break On Through". His confrontational stage presence and the "Lizard King" persona, immortalised in the 1967 portraits by Joel Brodsky, helped make him one of the most enduring icons of 1960s rock (Wikipedia)
