The Savage Sword of Conan

The Savage Sword of Conan was an American black-and-white comics magazine published by Marvel's Curtis Magazines imprint from 1974 to 1995, running 235 issues. Falling outside the Comics Code, the magazine could pursue more graphic violence, sex and atmosphere than the colour Conan the Barbarian title -- and across two decades it featured original Robert E. Howard adaptations and original stories drawn by John Buscema, John Buscema, Alfredo Alcala, Tony DeZuniga and many others, with painted covers by Frank Frazetta, Earl Norem, Joe Jusko and Boris Vallejo (Wikipedia)
