Sophie Ellis-Bextor

Sophie Ellis-Bextor (born 10 April 1979) is an English singer-songwriter. After fronting the indie band theaudience in the late 1990s she went solo with Spiller's UK number-one disco anthem "Groovejet (If This Ain't Love)" (2000), and her own albums Read My Lips, Shoot from the Hip and Wanderlust produced the hits "Murder on the Dancefloor", "Get Over You" and "Take Me Home". Her 2020 lockdown "Kitchen Discos" rejuvenated her career, and "Murder on the Dancefloor" returned to global charts after its 2023 use in the film Saltburn (Wikipedia)
